Prescription Refills
Please do not wait until you run out of medicine to call for a refill; we encourage patients to call at least two days ahead to make sure the prescription is adhered to in an effective manner. In order to protect you, your physician must review your medical file before renewing a prescription. Our physician rotates between several locations and hospitals - and it could be 24 hours after you call before a doctor can review your file. The files are reviewed and prescriptions are called to pharmacies at the end of office hours, after all patients have been seen. Your pharmacist should have the approval for your renewal by 5pm the day following your call to our office. Please keep in mind that some pharmacies close early, so you may not be able to get your prescription until the next day. Also, keep in mid that prescription refills will not be done over the weekend.
Please note: By law, doctors cannot order refills for narcotics over the phone. A written prescription is required. You must obtain your refill prescription in person and take it to your pharmacists to have it filled.
